American Issues Forum records 1973-1977

The American Issues Forum was organized by the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the observance of the Bicentennial. From September 1975 through June 1976, nine major topics representing fundamental issues of American history were considered. Programs were presented by businesses, unions, communications media, educational institutions, government agencies, religious groups, and professional associations. The objective was to provide the opportunity to reflect on, discuss, and to come to a conclusion about each issue. This collection contains publicity material and "Program Packages" for the American Issues Forum activities. Also included are study guides used in conjunction with television programs produced by KUED-TV, Salt Lake City, Utah and by KBYU-TV, Provo, Utah.
